Nosakhare Ekhator is a fashion design student at the Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome. Born in Nigeria in 1998, he arrived in Italy at the age of 18. Nosakhare had begun training to be a tailor in Nigeria, and thanks to a course organized by Caritas, he was able to continue his studies, as well as start his own brand, Nosa Collezione, after his arrival in Rome.
Nosakhare Ekhator met the president of the Accademia Costume e Moda, Lupo Lanzara, through the project "The Shape of Water" organized by Artisanal Intelligence. Working with B&W-Black&White, and the Agata Smeralda Onlus, as well as private donors, Lupo Lanzara created a new scholarship that supports Nosakhares studies at the academy. He is the first student with international protection to be enrolled in this renowned institution.
Nosa at the B&W Lab
Nosa participated in all of the B&W Lab events, and helped to facilitate discussion and exchange among the participants. Listening some of the best fashion expert I learned to see fashion from a brother perspective, the importance of storytelling. The workshop opened my eyes to new possibilities of what fashion was and could be. (Nosa)
