The Sewing Cooperative

The Sewing Cooperative is one of the first Italian social atelier born with the aim of creating opportunities for refugee tailors to connect their previous professional experience with their new work environment. It is located in Rome and produces bespoke, handmade and handcrafted clothes using recycled fabrics, African wax prints and naturally dyed organic cotton from Burkina Faso and Mali.

PARTICIPATION IN THE B&W LAB

The cooperative took part in the roundtable Sustainable Fashion, Brand Identity, Retail World and DISTRIBUTIO platforms it at Macro Asylum. Bamba Bakary, tailor from the Ivory Coast and collaborator of the cooperative took part in several meetings of the B&W Lab.
